Community Funding Program

We are committed to supporting local community groups, organisations, and businesses to deliver projects and activities that help make Pyrenees an inclusive, happy, and healthy place to live and visit.

We offer monthly grants and subsidies, and annual project and capital grants through the Community Funding Program. 

The 2024/25 program opens for applications on 10, December 2024, and will be open until 2pm on 17th February 2025.

Grants are available for:

  • Programs, Projects and Activities - Up to $2,000
  • Minor Capital Works - Up to $7,000
  • Equipment - Up to $2,000
  • Community Event Support - Up to $2,000
  • Tourism Event Sponsorship - Up to $5,000

Responsive grants are available for projects that are time sensitive or take advantage new opportunities before our next Annual Grants program opens. More information can be found on our Responsive Grants page. Other funding opportunities can also be found on our Other Grants Page.  

Our Online Application Portal must be used to complete your applications. The portal provides information to help you complete an application. You can access a help guide(PDF, 2MB) to support your first-time use of the portal.

Council staff are available to support your use of the system, please contact us on 1300 797 363 to make an appointment to discuss your application. Council staff will also be holding drop-in session to discuss projects and assist the application project, dates and times for these sessions can be found on the frequently asked questions page.

Annual Grant Program

Open once a year, with funds for events, programs, capital works and equipment.

Tourism Event Sponsorship

Supporting new and existing community and tourism events.

Responsive grant

Limited small grants available to respond to an unexpected and/or urgent community need.

Event Signage Subsidy

Limited small subsidies for local event and tourism operators to fund removable sign inserts for event promotion frames on the road approaches into Avoca and Beaufort.
