Beaufort Lake Foreshore Improvements
The foreshore of Lake Beaufort hasn’t been improved for many years, and the work currently being undertaken at the site is designed to reinvigorate the useability, look and feel of the lake for locals and visitor alike.
The improvements include new plantings and earthworks, new designated paths, new parking spaces (including a disabled parking space), picnic areas and a number of new play areas for children. Once these works have been finished, the foreshore will be a far more attractive space, particularly once the plantings are more established.
Picnic tables and seating, and the new play equipment have been installed, while the new plantings are also in and been mulched down (see photos).
This project was funded as part of a $2 million grant from the Federal Government’s Drought Communities Programme.
