Pyrenees Shire provides services to assist our community in the Environment and Sustainability area.

Water Restrictions

Water restrictions are the responsibility of the local water authority, which in our case is Central Highlands Water. They provide a clickable map on their website which provides all information regarding water restrictions, outages and planned work.

Roadside Vegetation Management

Council manages roadside vegetation on more than 2000 km of roads within the Pyrenees Shire.

Regional Keystone Species Tracking Project

Federation University in collaboration with Ballarat Wildlife Hospital are undertaking a Keystone Species Tracking project to track native wildlife who have been treated and rehabilitated in the region.
