Repairs to infrastructure in the Pyrenees Shire

Council has completed putting together packages of work to finish the repairs to infrastructure that was flood damaged. On the ground works have stopped for the time being until approval is given by the State Government to go ahead with the packages of work. Council is working closely with the State Government to progress the approvals, and it is hoped that work can recommence again soon. Package repair works include:
· Bridges in Glenpatrick, Amphitheatre, Elmhurst, Redbank, Mt Emu, and Beaufort
· Culverts in Snake Valley, Lexton and Beaufort
· Floodway in Lexton
· Bridge over Lower Wimmera River
· Replacement of guardrail
· Other works in Landsborough, Homebush, Avoca, Hopes Lane and Hillman Road
Council is required to submit applications to the State Government for funding approval to fix the infrastructure. Works have been prioritised based on the severity of the damage and the amount of traffic that uses the road. We know there are many roads in the Pyrenees that need repairing and we thank you, the community, for your patience. Please drive carefully and follow signs while repairs take place.
