Roadworks and Closures

Beaufort-Carrranballac Road
Construction works have started on Beaufort-Carranballac Road (1.5km to 2.3km south of Meadows Lane). There will be some traffic delays and periodic road closures, including a detour using Meadows Lane, Eurambeen-Streatham Road and Mt William Road. Works are expected to be completed by March.

Snake Valley-Smythesdale Road
Construction works have started on Smythesdale-Snake Valley Road (Hopes Lane to 150m south of Canico Lane). There will be some traffic delays. Works are expected to be completed by early March.

Avoca drainage maintenance
Avoca drainage maintenance work is planned to start in early February. Efforts will be in place to minimize the impact to motorists and pedestrians. Pound Lane will be closed for a few days for the installation of two culverts.

Caramuir Road, Nerring culvert works
Upgrade work on the Caramuir Road culvert has started. Works include the extension of the existing culvert, road reinstatement, and installation of guard railing. Works are expected to be completed by the end of March. The road will be closed during works, please follow the detour signs.

Flood-related road closures

Many roads in the Shire were affected by flooding during October and November 2022, and some are closed. Roads that have been reopened may still be hazardous in places, so please take care and drive with extreme caution. Never drive through flood waters.     

Redbank Stony Crossing Rd, between Sunraysia Hwy and Moyreisk-Redbank Rd
