2024/25 Christmas New Year service arrangements
A confidential and free needle disposal service is available through our Environmental Health Department.
A free sharps container can be collected from the Beaufort Shire Office or Avoca Information Centre.
If you find a needle you can call the Victorian Syringe Disposal Helpline on 1800 552 355.
If you require Council to safely dispose of a found needle please provide a precise location to (03) 5349 1100.
Please follow the steps in the Department of Health's publication Safe retrieval & disposal of needles and syringes(PDF, 20KB) very carefully if you decide to remove it yourself.
