Council's Environmental Health Officer works to promote the health and well-being of our communities through a range of public health services.
Working under various legislative frameworks including the Food Act 1986, the Public Health & Wellbeing Act 2008, Environment Protection Act 1970 and the Code of Practice for Septic Tanks
our Environmental Health Officer aims to minimise the public health risks throughout the Shire
Services provided by our Environmental Health Department include food safety surveillance, immunisation services, sharps disposal, tobacco education and enforcement, regulation of domestic waste water disposal and the investigation of public health nuisance complaints.
