VicRoads Services
Learner Permits
Learner Permits are available through the Council offices in Beaufort. Bookings are required and can be made through customer service. The cost is $64.60.
A VicRoads agency can issue a Learner Permit to an applicant who:
- Satisfies all eligibility criteria
- Satisfies proof of identity requirements
- Completes a photo kit
- Has passed all relevant tests
- Has paid the licence/variation fee.
Candidates will required to bring one Primary Proof of Identity and one Secondary Proof. Evidence of Residence must be provided (if not shown on either primary or secondary evidence) and at least one document must contain the applicant's signature.
Primary Proof
- A current Passport
- A Birth Certificate
Secondary Proof
- A current Medicare card
- A credit or bank card
- School ID card
Also, Evidence of Residence must be provided (if not shown on either primary or secondary evidence) and at least one document must contain the applicants signature.

Work Diaries
Work diaries are available at the Council offices at a cost of $28.00. You must bring your old work diary and driver licence with you when purchasing a new one.
Return of Number plates
Number plates can be returned to the Council Offices in Beaufort.
