Pyrenees pools now open for summer

Pyrenees Shire’s Beaufort, Avoca and Landsborough swimming pools are now open for the summer season.

Pyrenees Mayor Cr Tanya Kehoe said the three much-loved facilities are looking fantastic and ready to welcome swimmers of all ages.

Cr Kehoe said all three pools passed their Life Saving Victoria pool safety assessments with flying colours thanks to Council staff and facility manager Belgravia Leisure’s hard work.

“We know the Pyrenees community loves our pools, and Council staff and Belgravia work really hard to ensure residents have the best facilities possible to enjoy over summer,” she said.

“This season will be Belgravia Leisure’s fourth managing our pools, providing qualified lifeguards and organising events, and Council really appreciates their efforts.”

The pools will remain open until 10 March 2025, the Labour Day long weekend.

Pool opening hours

The Pyrenees pools season will end on 10 March 2025, the Labour Day long weekend.

Please note: the pools will not open if the predicted temperature the night before is forecasted to be less than 20 degrees, on days declared Code Red, or days on which extreme weather is forecast.
