James Halliday Wine Companion Awards

Four wineries from the Pyrenees region have received five red star ratings from the nationally-recognised James Halliday Wine Companion 2021 edition.
Dalwhinnie, Summerfield, Blue Pyrenees Estate and DogRock Winery were each awarded the endorsements with several of their wines scoring above 90 points, and in many instances above 95 points.
A five red star rating indicates an outstanding winery, ranked in the top 10 percent Australia-wide, which regularly produces wines of exemplary quality and typicity.
Other Pyrenees wineries that received high ratings were Taltarni and Mount Avoca receiving 5 stars and Glenlofty and Pyren receiving 4.5 stars.
“Congratulations to these Pyrenees wineries who have consistently shown they are the best in their field,” Pyrenees Shire Council CEO Jim Nolan said.
