Beaufort Rotunda

Council has been carrying out repair work to the Beaufort Rotunda including to the balustrade and lacework, gutter replacement and painting.

These maintenance works have been carried out by Matt Whelan and his team, and they’ve done a great job. The work is expected to finish up at the end of next week, weather permitting.

Council understands the importance of this 100+ year old structure, and this work has been carried out to avoid deterioration.

We’re aware that significant restoration works will be required in the future. These will be planned and require significant external funding. Until then, we expect the recent timely repair and painting works will provide a beautiful rotunda to enjoy for the next ten years.
