Have your say on the Beaufort Linear Park Master Plan
Published on 25 August 2023
Pyrenees Shire Council is preparing a Master Plan for the Beaufort Linear Park.
The Beaufort Linear Park project aims to create a recreational corridor along the course of the Garibaldi Creek from Beaufort Lake at the southernmost point to the area where the creek intersects with Yam Holes Creek north of the railway line in Beaufort.
To help shape this plan, we’re calling on the community for ideas on what this corridor may look like in the future.
The master plan for the linear park is being created to enhance:
- Water quality and biodiversity along the Garibaldi Creek;
- Community health and wellbeing;
- The experience for visitors to Beaufort.
We’d love to hear from you and understand your values, issues and ideas for the site, and how the site can better support the local community!
Help shape the future of the park by completing the Beaufort Linear Master Plan Community Survey.
Paper copies of the survey are also available at Council offices and resource centres.
Submissions close at 5pm on Sunday 24 September.
You can also get involved by attending one of these in-person sessions:
- Co-design workshop: Tuesday 5 September, Goldfields Recreation Reserve. Workshop 1pm to 3pm; drop in 3.30pm to 5pm
- Walking tour: Wednesday 6 September, Memorial Gardens, 11am to 1pm
