Beaufort Lake jetty works

Work on the new floating Beaufort Lake jetty will begin shortly, along with Beaufort Lake bridge upgrades.
The former jetty was removed while the lake was low due to structural safety concerns.
The new jetty will be built near the caravan park swimming area. It will be L-shaped and extend out into the deeper water.
Pyrenees Shire Mayor Cr Tanya Kehoe said the new jetty would be similar to the one installed at the boat ramp, pictured, with its installation expected to be finished by the end of June.
“These works are aimed at improving safety for Beaufort Lake users,” Cr Kehoe said.
“The bridge will also be reconstructed and upgraded during the coming months. An alternative walking path along the lake’s edge will be set up while the bridge is closed.”
