De Cameron Ward Councillor Robert Vance has been elected as Mayor for the next 12 months.
Elected at a statutory meeting on Tuesday night in Lexton, Cr Vance takes over from Cr Ron Eason.
This is Cr Vance’s fourth term as Mayor after his terms in 2008-09, 2013-14, 2018-19.
The new mayor said he was looking forward to continuing to strengthen Pyrenees communities over the next 12 months.
“Many of our communities are still recovering from the floods we had in October and November last year, and it’s important we do what we can to continue to support that recovery and build resilient communities for the future,” Cr Vance said.
