Cr Damian Ferrari, who was born and raised in the Beaufort area, is a community minded advocate who genuinely cares about everyone who lives, works and visits the Pyrenees Shire.
Cr Ferrari had a long career spanning more than 30 years with Victoria Police and has extensive experience in emergency management and critical incident response and management. He currently works for Catholic Education Ballarat.
First elected to Council in August 2018 following a by-election, Cr Ferrari was re-elected in the 2021 and 2024 local government general elections and served as Mayor in 2020-2021. He ran for election again as he enjoys working with the community to achieve good things and wanted to help some unfinished projects in the Beaufort region come to fruition.
Over the next four-year term, Cr Ferrari hopes the Pyrenees community can become even more successful, vibrant and connected with residents feeling supported by a progressive and considerate Council closely connected to the region’s communities.
Cr Ferrari lives and works on his farm at Mount Cole with his partner Sarah. He enjoys camping, fishing, gardening and listening to Radio 88 FM.
